The minor holidays of August
Looking at the minor holidays (smallidays?) of August, I see that National Respect for Parents Day and National Girlfriends Day were both August 1st, a cosmic joke if ever there was one. Yesterday was National Sisters Day and National Ice Cream Sandwich Day—I'm sure there's still time to celebrate both! The 3rd was also National Grab Some Nuts Day, just one more piece of evidence that our nation needs someone to sit it down and have a talk.
Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, as well as National Coast Guard Day. Tomorrow is National Night Out and National Underwear Day. Make of that what you will.
